TEFROKA is the range of seamless resin deck coatings made by GTF Freese in Bremen. Unlike a sheet or tile floor, it is mixed and rolled on board, curing into a jointless surface — which is why it is specified for galleys, wet rooms, technical spaces, provision stores and engine rooms, where every seam is a weak point.
Read this range as a system, not a shortlist: a primer, a coating, an optional anti-slip broadcast and a sealer. The real choice is between the two coatings — hard epoxy or elastic polyurethane.

A TEFROKA deck is specified as a stack. Skip a layer and the failure usually shows up at the interface, not in the coating itself.
Solvent-free epoxy at 100% solids, 500–1000 mPa·s, applied by squeegee and sheepskin roller. It wets into the substrate and binds everything above it. This is the layer people are tempted to skip and the layer adhesion failures are traced back to.
The working layer. HLS Deck Covering and EP-R are epoxies at Shore D 80 — hard, chemically resistant, slip-resistant. PU-1-L is a polyurethane at Shore D 45 that stays elastic and bridges deck movement.
Graded quartz sand, 0.355–1.4 mm, broadcast into the wet coating. Grade and broadcast rate set how aggressive the anti-slip finish is, so the same coating serves a galley and a store room with different textures.
Water-based two-component polyurethane dispersion, zero VOC, UV-resistant, roughly 0.15 kg/m². Protects the colour against yellowing and makes the surface easier to clean.

They differ in hardness and movement. EP-R is an epoxy at Shore D 80 — hard, chemically resistant, slip-resistant, the choice for stores, workshops and technical spaces. PU-1-L is a polyurethane at Shore D 45, so it stays elastic and bridges deck movement and hairline cracking; it is also the one certified to IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 2 and Part 5, and at 900 kg/m³ it is the lighter of the two.
Yes — TEFROKA EP N is the solvent-free epoxy primer for the system. At 100% solids and 500–1000 mPa·s it wets into the substrate and binds the coating to it. Skipping the primer is the most common cause of adhesion failure on a resin deck.
TEFROKA KH Filler is a graded quartz sand, 0.355–1.4 mm, broadcast into the wet coating to build a defined slip resistance. The grade and the broadcast rate set how aggressive the finish is, so a galley and a store room can use the same coating with different surface textures.
HLS Sealer is a water-based two-component polyurethane dispersion at zero VOC and UV-resistant, applied at roughly 0.15 kg/m² as the final coat. It protects the colour against yellowing and makes the surface easier to clean — a practical requirement wherever the coating is visible rather than hidden under a finished floor.
